The upper insert is designed with curved sides for smooth blending and the bottom pan has an encapsulated base of thick aluminum for quick, even heat distribution. Both the upper insert and the bottom pan are made of durable 18/10 stainless steel and offer a 1 quart capacity. The fully tempered glass lid is oven safe to 450 degrees F, and fits both pieces. Dishwasher safe.
